CBT focuses on exploring relationships among your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The process works to help in uncovering unhealthy patterns of thoughts and how they may be causing self-destructive behaviors and beliefs.
An important component of CBT that is useful for OCD, Anxiety, and Eating Disorders is Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP). This type of therapy includes a series of planned and controlled situations that elicit anxiety so that you can work on not engaging in compulsive behaviors.
